Comment on Force the read more link on excerpts even if the content is below the threshold and/or custom excerpt by EllCee https://christinacreativedesign.com/blog/force-the-read-more-link-on-excerpts-even-if-the-content-is-below-the-threshold-andor-custom-excerpt/#comment-4641 Thu, 23 Nov 2017 21:33:58 +0000 https://christinacreativedesign.com?p=1604#comment-4641 Thank you very much for this! I prefer the custom excerpts, and not having the “read more” on the home page was very annoying. Such an easy fix — though I have to admit I was afraid to mess with the php file to start with. 🙂

I chose my hosting after BlueHost and HostGator got purchased and they started sucking. I use InMotion hosting because they have good support (call at inconvenient times if you don’t want to go on hold). My favorite these days is FlyWheel.

I’ve been shopping around and yes it is very confusing, except one thing: avoid EIG. I’ve been going through many hosting website reviews, which is how i came to your site. What do you think of this reviewer?

And how did you decide on your hosting solution?
Thanks

They need to emphasize testing and not messing sites up rather than getting out as many ‘improvements’ as quickly as they can.

So if I had form it would be named .form-sidebar-xx or something with -form- in the class name so I can search for it easier as well.

Just for my understanding – why do you refer to ‘semantic’ ?
The example I give comes from being delivered designs where a certain design element is only used once, so for many years it as been enough to take the fastest solution #text-xx { some style}

only if you can spare the time to answer.

Widget Classes plugin has no impact on front end, it adds a field to your widget instance. HTML widget will not use #text-, so more work will still happen.
